Paramount Drops First Fast-Flying Trailer for TOP GUN: MAVERICK
December 17, 2019The first trailer has arrived for Top Gun: Maverick and it includes all the high-flying action (and cocky pilots) that its predecessor had!
The film picks up more than 30 years after the events of Top Gun and finds one of the Navy’s top aviators, Pete ‘Maverick’ Mitchell (Tom Cruise), continuing to push the envelope as a courageous pilot, while avoiding advancement in rank, which would ultimately ground him.
He now finds himself training a troop of Top Gun grads for a specialized mission, one of which no living pilot has ever endured. Maverick enlists the help of Lt. Bradley Bradshaw (Miles Teller), aka ‘Rooster’, who is the son of his late friend, Lt. Nick Bradshaw, aka ‘Goose’. Facing an uncertain future and confronting ghosts of his past, Maverick must face his deepest fears, which will culminate with a mission that demands the ultimate sacrifice.
The film, from director Joseph Kosinski, returns Val Kilmer, as ‘Iceman’, and also stars: Jennifer Connelly, Jon Hamm, Monica Barbaro and Ed Harris.
Top Gun: Maverick lands in theaters on July 26, 2020.
