When a Background Character Fights Back, in First Trailer for FREE GUY

The first official trailer for Free Guy has arrived and gamers everywhere are getting itchy after watching, because a background character is the star in this one.

The film, from director Shawn Levy, is an epic adventure-comedy about a bank teller (Ryan Reynolds) who discovers he is actually a background player in an open-world video game. He then decides to become the hero in forging his own story and rewrites his character, himself. Now, in a world of no limits, he is determined to be the (free) guy who saves the world, his way.

The film also stars: Jodie Comer, Joe Keery, Lil Rel Howery, Utkarsh Ambudkar and Taika Waititi.

Free Guy is slated to open in theaters, nationwide, on July 3, 2020.
