Sony Pictures Sneakily Releases First Teaser Trailer for MORBIUS
January 13, 2020The first teaser trailer has arrived for one of the Marvel Universe‘s most-conflicted, yet compelling characters, in the much-anticipated upcoming live-adaptation of Morbius.
The film will center on Dr. Michael Morbius (Jared Leto), who is living with a rare blood disorder, but seeks to help those suffering from the same disease. He attempts a dangerous gamble and, what appears to first be a radical success, soon becomes a potentially worse result, propelling Morbius into the state of a living vampire!
The rest of the cast in the upcoming Sony Pictures installment includes: Adria Arjona, Matt Smith, Jared Harris, Tyrese Gibson and, via a rumor, will also feature J.K. Simmons in reprising his role as J. Jonah Jameson.
Per the trailer, we not only see anti-Spider-Man propaganda on the streets, following the results of Spider-Man: Far From Home, but the return of a familiar face in Adrian Toomes, aka Vulture, played by Michael Keaton in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Looks like the Spider-Verse is alive and well!
Morbius is set to release in theaters on July 31, 2020.
