David S.F. Wilson Enlisted to Direct Upcoming Sci-Fi Thriller at Sony, INFLUX

Filmmaker David S.F. Wilson is set to take on a science fiction novel adaptation for his next project in, Influx, which will be distributed by Sony Entertainment.

The film is based on the 2014 novel of the same name, Influx, by Daniel Suarez. It tells the story a physicist, one locked away in a technically-advanced prison. He makes a breakthrough in discovering a treacherous organization has been developing advances in technology that could benefit the human race, but opt to keep it to themselves. He must now find a way to team with his fellow inmates to fight them and make things right.

The project will mark the second feature directorial gig for Wilson, having previously debuted with Bloodshot this year.
