The Struggles of Letting Go in First THE KING OF STATEN ISLAND Trailer
May 8, 2020Learning to cope, move on and grow up is tough for Pete Davidson in the first trailer for the upcoming Judd Apatow comedy-drama, The King of Staten Island.
The film follows Scott (Davidson), who is suffering from a case of ‘arrested development’ since the passing of his father, a firefighter, when he was just 7-years-old. Now, in his mid-20s, he has achieved next-to-nothing and is chasing a dream to be a tattoo artist. The problem, he’s not any good.
As his younger sister (Maude Apatow) heads off to college, Scott, who still lives at home with his mother, Margie (Marisa Tomei), spends his days smoking weed and hanging with his friends. When his mother starts dating a firefighter named Ray (Bill Burr), a chain of events lead Scott to conquer his grief and take steps toward advancing a possible career and getting his life together.
The rest of the ensemble cast includes: Steve Buscemi, Pamela Adlon, Bel Powley, Adriana DeMeo, Jimmy Tatro, Kevin Corrigan and Moises Arias.
The King of Staten Island currently has a tentative theatrical release date of June 12, 2020.
