Netflix and DreamWorks Announce JURASSIC WORLD: CAMP CRETACEOUS Series
June 30, 2019A new adventure series from DreamWorks Animation will further expand the Jurassic World ‘dinoverse’ with Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous, which will launch globally on Netflix next year.
The contract includes an ongoing multi-year agreement between Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment. The deal, itself, will continue a successful five-year run between DreamWorks and the streaming giant.
The series will feature a group of six teenagers chosen for a ‘once-in-a-lifetime’ experience at an adventure camp on the opposite (and wrong) side of the famed dino-infested island of Isla Nublar. When dinosaurs begin to wreak havoc, the campers find themselves stranded. Unable to reach civilization, they will need to band together to survive.
Showrunners Scott Kreamer and Lane Lueras will team with executive producers, Steven Spielberg and Frank Marshall, among others, to bring the animated series to life.
Keep an eye out for updates as the series draws closer to launching in 2020.
