Growing Up is ‘Hard’ in Upcoming Season 3 of BIG MOUTH!
August 25, 2019 Off By Haven HuthEveryone’s favorite awesomely-perverted pubescent show is back this October with Netflix’s Big Mouth!
Created by Nick Kroll, Andrew Goldberg and Jennifer Flacket, this instant classic from Netflix depicts struggles of puberty, courtesy of satirical animation and hilarious musical numbers.
This season promises to ‘rock out’! Emmy-nominated Mark Rivers, songwriter for the show, is teasing a heavy metal 80s-inspired song called, Anything Goes In Florida.
Show creator Kroll voices a laundry list of characters on the show, including Nick Birch, Maury – The Hormone Monster, Coach Steve, Lola, Rick – The Hormone Monster and many more. The series also includes fellow comedians, John Mulaney, as Andrew Glouberman, Fred Armisen, Connie – The Hormone Monstress, Maya Rudolph, Jenny Slate and Academy Award-winning director Jordan Peele, among others.
When we last saw the gang in the Valentine’s Day Special, Nick and Connie were starting to get used to their new dynamic, a boy with a lady hormone monster. Andrew quickly turned into his father, trying to express his love for Missy. Jay is taking a break from being a 40-year-old magician, banging every cushion in sight, and we got to see how Maury is helping guide Matthew into puberty, while Jessi is finally starting to rebuild her relationship with her mother.
Coach Steve is back and more depressing than ever. He went from a middle school gym coach living on a diaper barge, to a Walgreens Greeter and now is a gas station clerk. This could be the first of many new jobs for him in Season 3.
The new season of Big Mouth is set to debut on Netflix on October 4.
