Robert Rodriguez to Helm Netflix Superhero Film, WE CAN BE HEROES
August 22, 2019The Robert Rodriguez is going for the trifecta, as he not only wrote, was set to produce, but will now also direct the upcoming Netflix superhero film, We Can Be Heroes.
The film will zero in on a young girl, who is the daughter of a retired superhero. She discovers that, she too, has powers and assembles her own squad of fellow young superheroes to stop an alien invasion and save their kidnapped parents as well.
Starring in the film, including a laundry list of fresh, new and young talent will be: Priyanka Chopra-Jonas, Christian Slater, Akira Akbar, Andrew Diaz, Andy Walken, Hala Finley, Isaiah Russell-Bailey, Lotus Blossom, Lyon Daniels, Nathan Blair, Sung Kang, Vivien Lyra Blair, YaYa Gosselin, Adriana Barraza, Boyd Holbrook, Christopher McDonald, Pedro Pascal and Brittany Perry-Russell.
Production has begun as the film is currently filming in Texas, but stay tuned for a release date!
Rodriguez will also soon begin production on the third installment in the Machete series, titled, Machete Kills in Space.
