All Four SCREAM Films are on Netflix Right Now, But There’s a Catch
September 30, 2019The modern-day scream queen, Neve Campbell, is coming to your screens in the famous Wes Craven franchise, one which brings all the horror truths front-and-center in a hilarious, yet gory way.
The awesome thing about this franchise is that it calls horror out for all the stupid things that victims do to put themselves in situations that they can’t get out of. Knowing all of this, the horror buffs still commit the same mistakes in the films in this franchise. It’s awesomely ironic and we love it! Check out a brief synopsis of each film in the franchise and get ready to stream and scream.
Scream (1996)
This is the one that started it all! It picks up a year after the murder of Sidney’s mother, a teenage girl who is being terrorized by a ‘new’ killer, who targets her and her friends by using horror films as part of a deadly game.
Scream 2 (1997)
Sidney is back, this time in college! Only four survived the brutal attacks. Two years after the first series of murders, someone donning the Ghostface costume begins a new string of killings.
Scream 3 (2000)
While Sidney and her friends visit the Hollywood set of Stab 3 (yes, a movie franchise is now based on the Woodsboro murders), yet another Ghostface killer rises to terrorize them.
Scream 4 (2011)
Oh, it’s not over yet! Sidney Prescott can’t shake Ghostface, even 10 years after Scream 3. She is now a writer and presumably being stalked by a fanatical fan of her books and the Stab movies.
Not done screaming yet? Check out the television adaptation, which is also currently streaming on Netflix as well, Scream: The TV Series.
Start your marathon on October 1, but act fast, because you only have six before the franchise leaves the streaming service, on Oct. 7.
