Hailee Steinfeld Tabbed for Lead in Disney+ Series, HAWKEYE
September 9, 2019 Off By Michael StagnoPhase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe was announced back in July at San Diego Comic Con, where one of its shows coming to Disney+ would be Hawkeye, which has now bullseyed its Kate Bishop in Hailee Steinfeld.
The show will presumably follow Clint Barton as he prepares his Young-Avenger-in-waiting, Bishop, in assuming the role of Hawkeye.
Bishop, shares a moniker with Barton, but like him, possesses no superpowers. Instead, she relies on her extensive combat abilities and masterful skills in archery to fight the good fight.
Steinfeld turned in a nice 2018 with starring roles in the Transformers spinoff, Bumblebee, and as Gwen Stacy in the animated film, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. She is also preparing to take on the TV role as Emily Dickinson in, Dickinson. Renner is currently filming an episode of Marvel’s What If…? for the streaming service and is in the pre-production stages for his role as Twitch Williams in the live-action reboot of Spawn.
Hawkeye is expected to launch on Disney+ in fall of 2021.
