STRANGER THINGS Renewed, Overall Deal Struck with Duffer Brothers

The worldwide phenomenon that is Stranger Things will be returning for a fourth installment at Netflix as a mega overall deal has been signed by the Duffers.

The overall deal, signed by both Matt Duffer and Ross Duffer, is for a multi-year film and series, which is estimated to be at least nine figures.

“The Duffer Brothers have captivated viewers around the world with Stranger Things and we’re thrilled to expand our relationship with them to bring their vivid imaginations to other film and series projects our members will love,” said Netflix CCO Ted Sarandos. :We can’t wait to see what the Duffer Brothers have in store when they step outside the world of The Upside Down.”

Stranger Things has already garnered over 50 awards nominations through three seasons, including Emmys, Golden Globes, Grammys, SAG, DGA, WGA, BAFTA, Art Directors Guild and People’s Choice Awards, among others.

The trailer states, ‘We’re not in Hawkins Anymore’, which suggests that the Upside Down is taking a road trip!

Production is currently under way for Season 4 of Stranger Things, which is slated for a 2020 return.
