Marvel and SiriusXM Announce Multi-Year Podcast Deal
October 22, 2019 Off By Haven HuthIn a new partnership, Marvel and SiriusXM have finalized a deal to release a whole new set of scripted podcasts across Sirius channels and Pandora.
After the wildly-successful podcast series, Wolverine: The Long Night and the Marvel’s 80th: The Road to Marvel Comics #1000, fans asked for more and the powers-that-be listened (and delivered).
The new lineup includes, Black Widow, Star-Lord, Hawkeye and, once again, Wolverine. Each show will consist of 10 episodes and, in true Marvel fashion, you can expect other crossover-type podcasts that will team them all up as well.
“Powerful stories are read, seen and heard — and we believe audio is the next natural step to bring the Marvel Universe to fans around the world,” said Dan Buckley, President of Marvel Entertainment. “Storytelling has always been at the heart of Marvel’s success, and SiriusXM and Pandora have the right platform and expertise to bring Marvel’s rich tapestry of stories to listeners in a whole new way. We are excited to introduce an impressive roster of programming with SiriusXM and Pandora, and we can’t wait to share more details in the weeks and months to come.”
In conjunction with the scripted series, the partnership will also see hosts venture into unscripted series, including interviews and Q&As with comic book creators and celebrity guests.
