Few have had a more significant 2019 than both Zendaya and Jason Momoa, which was recognized at the annual GQ Australia Awards, as the two are now the newly-appointed Woman and Man of the Year, respectively.

The Woman of the Year (Presented by Audi), was given to Zendaya, while Momoa garnered Man of the Year (Presented by Coach). Each year, the annual GQ Men of the Year Awards gathers influencers across many different mediums in honoring men and women in their respective fields. This year’s awards show was the 21st installment and highlighted winners in sport, fashion, innovation and cinema.

Zendaya has been a staple in the modeling community this year and literally turned heads on every red carpet she stepped on. She reprised her role as Mary Jane Watson in Spider-Man: Far From Home, appeared in three episodes on the recently-canceled The OA and was a regular on the breakout HBO series, Euphoria. She currently has two projects en route for 2020, including Finest Kind, a Boston organized crime thriller.

Momoa has been busy in 2019. He imprinted his brand on numerous clothing projects, while also serving as a voice for the health of our planet on social media and at climate summits. He also voiced his Aquaman character in The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part, appeared as himself on an episode of The Simpsons and launched a series on Apple TV, See. He also has numerous upcoming projects for 2020-22, including Aquaman 2 and Cliffhanger.

The two stars are also set to appear on screen together in the Dune reboot, which is currently slated for a Dec. 18, 2020, release.
