December 18, 2019 Off By Michael Stagno

An reimagining of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe is en route at Netflix and will tell all-new stories with a fresh take on its unique characters, as an animated series.

The show will center on a young lost prince, who discovers the posers of Grayskull and transforms into He-Man, propelling him into a battle between good and evil, versus the treacherous Skeletor and their respective teams of heroes and villains. A new generation fighting for the fate of all living things, as well as the titular title of Master of the Universe!

This newly-announced animated series marks the second coming to the streaming service for the Prince of Eternia, as Kevin Smith is producing an anime-inspired MOTU series called, Masters of the Universe: Revelations.

Both series, in their own respective way, are based on the 1983 animated series, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, which ran till 1985, having turned in 130-total episodes.

The new He-Man series will begin production in 2020, via developer Rob David and producers Adam Bonnett and Christopher Keenan. Bryan Q. Miller will pen and edit scripts.
