Things Are Getting ‘Phishy’ in First Official Trailer for Netflix’s JAMTARA
December 24, 2019The first trailer has arrived for the upcoming fictionalized true-crime series, Jamtara: Sabka Number Ayega, and it promises to be a thrilling show about India’s Jharkhand, the phishing capital of the world.
The series centers on ambitious masterminds and cousins, Sunny and Rocky, along with their friends, who quietly run an extremely successful phishing scam from the small village of Jamtara. A news report about the scams puts the village in the spotlight, throwing the operation into a frenzy and now everyone wants a stake in the game.
The series is a nuanced look at human relationships and highlights the risks of the Internet, while blending a cocktail of opportunity and motivation for leading ordinary people into a life of crime.
The 10-episode pilot season gathers an ensemble cast, highlighted by: Amit Sial, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Aksha Pardasany, Sparsh Srivastava, Monika Panwar and Anshumaan Pushkar.
Jamtara: Sabka Number Ayega debuts on Netflix on January 10, 2020.
