Forever is Harder Than it Looks: Netflix Drops First THE OLD GUARD Trailer
May 26, 2020The upcoming live-action adaptation of The Old Guard, starring Charlize Theron, has offered its first glimpse, via an action-packed trailer from Netflix.
The upcoming film is based on the popular Image Comics series, The Old Guard, from creators Leandro Fernández and Greg Rucka. It follows a warrior, Andromache of Scythia, who goes by ‘Andy’, played by Theron, and her group of mercenaries who all possess the ability of immortality. The group is tasked with protecting the mortal world, which it has done for centuries. When the member’s abilities are suddenly brought to light, the group must eliminate the threat of those seeking to replicate and monetize their powers.
The film also stars Kiki Layne, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Natacha Karam, Matthias Schoenaerts and Harry Melling.
The Old Guard is set for a worldwide launch on Netflix on July 10, 2020.
