The ‘Chosen One’ Heeds the Call in First Official Trailer for, WARRIOR NUN
June 22, 2020The first official (and action-packed) trailer, per Netflix, has arrived for the forthcoming original graphic novel adaptation series of, Warrior Nun.
The new 10-episode series, which is based on the comic series, Warrior Nun Areala, from creator Ben Dunn, tells the story of Ava (Alba Baptista), who wakes up in a morgue and now has inexplicable powers. Having now been thrust into an ancient war between good and evil, she sets out to find answers, which leads her to a secret society of warrior nuns called, The Order of the Cruciform Sword. It is here she is revealed as ‘The Chosen One’ and must now not only come to grips with what she has become, but also navigate life in coping with normal, everyday teenage girl obstacles as well.
Rounding out the core ensemble cast are: Toya Turner, as Shotgun Mary, Lorena Andrea (Sister Lilith), Kristina Tonteri-Young (Sister Beatrice), Thekla Reuten (Jillian Salvius) and, as Cardinal Duretti, Joaquim de Almeida.
The pilot season of Warrior Nun launches globally on Netflix on July 2, 2020.
