Discovery Reveals 2019 SHARK WEEK Schedule

It’s Shark Week and Discovery has announced its schedule, along with the celebrities that will be swimming along during the week!

Rob Riggle returns as the Shark Week Ambassador and will be joined by guests, Damon Wayans Jr, Adam Devine, Anthony Anderson and Joel McHale. There will be 2-4 episodes airing per day, each night kicking off at 8pm (ET)! See below for the upcoming schedule!

SUNDAY, JULY 28

Expedition Unknown: Megalodon – Josh Gates travels to Mexico and South Africa in search of fossilized Megalodon teeth. Alongside fellow paleontologists and shark experts, he dives into shark-infested waters to find out what happened to the mighty ‘Meg’.

Shark Trip: Eat Prey Chum – Rob Riggle is planning the ultimate “guys trip” for his friends Adam DeVine, Anthony Anderson, Joel McHale and Damon Wayans Jr., but little do they know the getaway is a shark diving mission to locate the largest tiger shark in the Caribbean.

MONDAY, JULY 29

Sharks of the Badlands – White sharks are infiltrating the waters off Cape Cod. Shark scientists and experts head to New Zealand to test new cutting-edge technology for shark detecting surveillance. If all goes well, they will bring it to Cape Cod to make the water safe again.

Legend of Deep Blue – Shark Experts head to Guadalupe Island to search the depths for Deep Blue. She is believed to be the largest great white measuring nearly 22 feet and over 2 tons. If they find her, they may be able to shed some light on the mysteries of ‘mega sharks.’

The Sharks of Headstone Hell – Norfolk Island is known to have the largest tiger sharks on earth that are drawn in by full-size animal carcasses tossed into the sea. Shark experts are on a quest to find out if this practice has altered the behavior of these massive sharks.

TUESDAY, JULY 30

Shipwrecked: Crash Landing – The shark survival team crash lands off of the remote Pacific island of Palau and must face-off against oceanic sharks in the struggle to shore.

Laws of JAWS: Dangerous Waters – Five heart-stopping real-life experiments will separate shark fact and fiction, including electronics to trigger a shark encounter and sharks investigating paddleboards that may cause you to fall off. Watch and learn to navigate these dangerous waters.

Air JAWS Strikes Back – Neil Hammershlag and Enrico Gennari use a drone-towed seal decoy to study and capture harrowing and dramatic battles between sharks and seals in the waters off South Africa.

WEDNESDAY, JULY 31

Extinct or Alive: The Lost Shark – Forrest Galante heads to the Maldives to find a supposedly extinct shark. Unidentified sharks in the area have led many to believe it’s alive. He will dive into an untamed wilderness to answer once and for all is the Pondicherry extinct or alive.

Capsized: Blood in the Water – Based on a true story, in October 1982, a yacht bound for Florida capsizes during an unexpected storm leaving the crew to drift for days in the cold shark-infested waters. They must do everything in their power to survive as the sharks hunt them.

THURSDAY, AUGUST 1

Return to Shark Island – Reunion Island shark encounters are on the rise leaving the locals afraid to get in the water. Shark scientists investigate the ongoing shark crisis to find a way for sharks and people to coexist and live peacefully.

Great White Kill Zone: Guadalupe – Great Whites are silent hunters, stalking their prey and attacking by surprise but in Guadalupe, the waters are crystal clear. How do they do it? Using cutting-edge technology and special cameras, scientists will record never before seen hunting behavior.

Monster Mako: Perfect Predator – The search is on for the elusive grander mako, the largest of its kind in the world. Brand new footage captured off the coast of California reveals rare Mako behavior.

FRIDAY, AUGUST 2

Isle of JAWS: Blood Brothers – Two great white shark males, believed to be brothers, are at the heart of a mystery. Could these animals recognize, and prefer the company of, a blood relative? A team ventures to the famed Isle of Jaws off the West Australian coast and finds the answers.

Andrew Mayne: Ghost Diver – Master illusionist Andrew Mayne is going to attempt to create the first of its kind SHARK SUIT to overcome the senses of a great white shark and make him invisible to the world’s most perfect predator.

I Was Prey: Shark Week – In the Pacific Ocean, danger lurks just below the surface a great white shark stalks a mother enjoying a day at the beach, and a massive tiger shark ambushes a local fisherman in Hawaii. Both victims must fight for their lives to reach safety onshore.

Extinct or Alive: The Lost Shark: Sharkmania – With Sharkmania facts and bonus scenes. Forrest Galante heads to the Maldives in search of a supposedly extinct shark. Forrest dives deep to determine once and for all whether the Pondicherry shark is extinct or alive.

SATURDAY, AUGUST 3

Sharks Gone Wild 2 – Discover everything that has happened in the world of sharks this year the unbelievable viral videos, the biggest news stories, and the latest cutting-edge shark science.

Shark Week Immersion – Internet stars take on Shark Week; testing out some of the biggest shark-related concepts in pop culture.
