The Netflix Original Series, Glow, will be jump into the pages in comic book form at IDW Publishing, as Glow vs. The Babyface, courtesy of creators, actress Aimee Garcia, WWE superstar AJ Mendez and artist Hannah Templar.

The original series on the streaming platform tells both the personal and professional lives of a group of professional female wrestlers, who perform for an organization in Los Angeles in the 1980s, starring Alison Brie, Marc Macon and Betty Gilpin.

The upcoming comic book reimagining will take place in the ‘Glow Universe’ and see the women preparing for an altercation against a new foe, a news anchor. The wrestlers seek to convince the media that wrestling isn’t a bad influence on children, all while a runaway is found living under the ring. Madness and mayhem will surely ensue!

“I’m a huge fan of Glow, said Garcia. “I grew up reading comics and never saw myself represented in them, so I’m excited to explore these trailblazing characters and create the change for the next generation. AJ and I are basically writing for our younger selves.”

The launch issue will ship with a Cover A (below) by Veronica Fish, Cover B by Nicole Goux and a retailer incentive variant by Catherine Nodet.

Glow vs. The Babyface #1 (of 4) will debut in November. You can stream the recently-released Season 3 of Glow now.
