Dark Horse Announces HCF 2019 Offering with, HOUSE OF FEAR

September 22, 2019 Off By Michael Stagno

October is nearly here and Halloween is not just about candy, but comics as well! If you have never visited your local comic shop for Halloween Comicfest, then you need to do it this year, because publishers provide your establishments with FREE comics for your goodie bags!

That said, Dark Horse has unveiled its offering for this year’s installment. The book is called, House of Fear and will foreshadow the holidays early, ringing in killer snowmen for Halloween! The tale will follow a group of kids, playing outside in the winter, when they are suddenly set upon by snowmen with ‘jagged grins and twisted limbs’, instead of ‘cute button eyes and corncob pipes’. They’ll need to think quick in order to defeat these frozen foes! A spooky scare for young readers, for sure. This is the perfect comic for monster hunters, both young and old.

The creative duo behind the book includes, writer James Powell and artist James Hislope, while the cover was drawn by Jethro Morales.

Make sure to get out to your local comics shop on Saturday, Oct. 26!
