The Ghost Rider is returning to Marvel in an all-new series and he’s bringing his brother along for the ride, courtesy of the creative team of Ed Brisson and Aaron Kuder.

The series will return the brothers Ghost Rider, where Johnny Blaze is the king and warden of Hell, while serving as the first line of defense between the demonic hordes trying to flee and the lords of the other Hells making plays for the respective thrones. All the while, Danny Ketch, who never wanted to be Ghost Rider, takes on the role of Earth’s Spirit of Vengeance.

“We can expect a lot of anger from Danny. He absolutely hates being Ghost Rider and would give anything to be rid of it,” said Brisson. “He’s resentful of everything that the Spirit of Vengeance has taken from him and refuses to give the Spirit any more than he absolutely needs to.”

Ghost Rider #1 will release with a special director’s cut, which will ride its way onto bookshelves, nationwide, on Wednesday, Oct. 2.
