October 3, 2019 Off By Michael Stagno

Five weathered Marvel heroes, in their own respective one-shots, announced at New York Comic Con, are facing The End in January.

The series will span over the near future to the ends of the universe, telling tales of ‘happily-ever-after’ to digging into the ‘depths of despair’, the five heroes will meet their natural and unnatural conclusions.

Kicking off the series will be Captain Marvel: The End #1, from Kelly Thompson and Georges Jeanty. Fifty years ago, Carol Danvers went into the deepest reaches of the cosmos to spread peace, but she hasn’t seen a single familiar face. What happened to the planet she used to call, ‘home’?

Next up, the Master of Mysticism, goes on one last journey, in Doctor Strange: The End #1. Leah Williams and Filipe Andrade put the Sorcerer Supreme up against a cyberpunk sprawl that has forgotten about magic.

Creators Saladin Ahmed and Damion Scott will then spotlight Brooklyn’s finest in Miles Morales: The End #1. Humanity will make its final stand as Spider-Man leads the rabble of civilians looking to secure a future.

In Captain America: The End #1, from writer and artist Erik Larsen, a post-apocalyptic wasteland populated by a Red Skull horde, goes up against Steve Rogers.

Wade Wilson takes center stage in Deadpool: The End #1 as the Merc with a Mouth faces the unthinkable, there may be a way to actually end him. Series creators include, Joe Kelly and Mike Hawthorne.

Finally, we have Venom: The End #1, from Adam Warren and Chamba. The alien symbiote who bonded with Eddie Brock has endured much, but the weight of the world now rests on their shoulders. Venom must travel the length of space to defend the universe.

All books launch in January. Stay tuned for official release dates!
