Following the massive success of the streaming show, Garth Ennis, Russ Braun and Darick Robertson, who will provide cover art, are all returning to continue the story, but also dive into the past in, The Boys: Dear Becky.

The upcoming series will use a flashback structure, and will tackle pre-history of The Boys and will call back to classic moments, while also moving the story forward. It picks up 12 years after the finale of the 90-issue run of the critically-acclaimed series. The marriage of Hughie and Annie (aka Starlight) is derailed by a mysterious document that threatens to unveil the past and also reveal truths about the anti-superhero team.

“Originally, I never intended to do more with The Boys at all, but for obvious reasons, I’ve found myself thinking about the story and characters again, over the past couple of years,” said Ennis. “There was one aspect of the original story and, one character in particular, that I never felt got a fair shake – Becky Butcher, whose demise motivates her husband, Billy, to do the terrible things he does, but who only actually appears in two issues of the original book.”

The Boys: Dear Becky #1 is scheduled to go on sale in April, 2020. You can catch the second season of The Boys on Amazon Prime Video soon!
