The creative team of writers, David and Scott Tipton, alongside artist Greg Scott, are launching a four-part limited series that will center on Constable Odo in, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine — Too Long a Sacrifice.

The miniseries will follow Odo, who is mirrored in likeness of the actor best-known in depicting him in the since-deceased Star Trek: Deep Space Nine actor, René Auberjonois. It is set during the most-difficult hours of the Dominion War, in which, the crew is backed up against a wall in mysterious and seemingly-unsolvable terrorist attacks. The series will focus more on the darker side of life on the station as Odo leads the investigation as he deals with unexpected allies, through unusual tactics as well.

“We’re so excited to return to the world of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. With its ‘frontier setting’ and precarious place in the galaxy, Deep Space Nine, offers the opportunity to tell truly unique tales of intrigue and suspense,” said (Scott) Tipton. “Combine that with one of the best character ensembles ever assembled and you get something no other Star Trek series can offer.”

Star Trek: Deep Space Nine — Too Long a Sacrifice #1 (of 4) goes on sale in April, 2020.
