News out of C2E2 reports that Marvel is set to drop a new Silk series this summer, per the creative team of Maurene Goo and Takeshi Miyazawa.

The series will mark the return of the Spider-Verse‘s Cindy Moon, who is back working for J. Jonah Jameson at Threats & Menaces. Her current case centers on gang murders, of which she is investigating as a reporter by day and Silk by night. She finds out the murders are being committed by Kasha, a cat demon, by way of Saya, an international businesswoman. Things are about to get extremely dangerous in both of her worlds!

“The opportunity to write a Korean-American superhero—a woman, no less—is one that I never thought would come my way,” stated Goo. “I’m so excited to flex this writing muscle and to explore new stories for Silk—a character I love. Her fierceness and loyalty are qualities I understand and relate to, and I hope readers feel the same as she fights new foes and protects old friends.”

Keep an eye out for Silk #1 to launch the new series in July of 2020.
