An Interplanetary Crossover is Imminent When ARCHIE MEETS FLASH GORDON

A standalone issue will highlight an epic crossover of the galaxy’s greatest heroes when Archie Meets Flash Gordon, per the creative team of Jeff Parker and artists Dan Parent and Rich Koslowski.

The one-shot kicks off with the arrival of Flash Gordon on Earth to help thwart a full-scale invasion of the planet, specifically, Riverdale, by the evil Ming the Merciless. Gordon will, however, need help, so he will enlist Archie, Jughead, Betty and Veronica to help set things right.

“I’m now a pretty big believer that the Riverdale gang can fit with practically any other characters and genres,” Parker said. “It’s best when they get to really flex and go way outside their zone like say, the Planet Mongo, with Flash Gordon, ‘King of the Impossible’, and wait until you see our take on the Emperor of Mongo (Ming the Merciless).”
