Jason Howard Takes Creative Control in New Image Comics Series, BIG GIRLS

Creator Jason Howard is doing it all in his new series, Big Girls, in both writing and providing the art for the book, as announced by Image Comics.

The series centers on Ember, a poetry enthusiast who loves to kill 300-foot monsters. When the men all become giant monsters meant to destroy the world, only women can stop them. She and her fellow monster hunters are the only ones that can keep the world safe from destruction.

“The heart of the story really came from me sometimes feeling overwhelmed by the size of the world’s problems, it can seem like the only fix is an equally big solution,” Howard said. “Exploring that feeling became the story’s setting, where their problems are literal giant monster men who are destroying the world. Fortunately, they have an equally giant solution, Big Girls, who kick monster butt.”

Big Girls #1 is currently scheduled to go on sale on Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2020.
