AJ Mendez and Aimee Garcia Team on New D&D Series, AT THE SPINE OF THE WORLD

A former WWE superstar, AJ Mendez, along with actor Aimee Garcia, are co-writing a new Dungeons & Dragons limited series at IDW Publishing, At the Spine of the World.

The new series will feature interior art by Martín Cóccolo, will be limited to four issues and take place ‘at the spine of the world’. An isolated town, located at the depths of Icewind Dale, is becoming desolate because of the never-ending winter’s night. In order to save the town and its collective sanity, a group of adventurers and warriors set out to battle an ice god, which in turn, reveals a plot in place by an ancient and primordial evil.

“The fantasy genre is a source of solace, love and belonging for me, so entering the world of Dungeons & Dragons is exciting and squeal-inducing, in a way that probably isn’t professionally-acceptable, said Mendez. “It’s too late now, IDW is stuck with me! This is a prestigious and beloved title and we’re proud to join the party.”

Dungeons & Dragons: At the Spine of the World #1 (of 4) is expected to launch the miniseries in summer of 2020.
