The writing duo of Evan Dorkin and Ed Solomon, along with artist Roger Langridge, are adapting a new direct prequel series to the upcoming third installment in the Bill & Ted film franchise, Bill & Ted Are Doomed.

The series focuses on rising tensions among the band, which is also affecting Bill and Ted’s family life as well. Their fanbase is losing faith in the band and the future is starting to not shape up as originally intended. Seeking a solution, the dynamic duo announces a world tour in seeking to spread the love, through rock ‘n’ roll, for the world.

“I think Bill and Ted strike exactly the right tone for these times,” Langridge said. “Their good spirits and most-excellent hearts are the tonic we all need. And it’s an absolute, tick-one-off-the-bucket-list delight to be working with the incredible Evan Dorkin. I’m really proud of this comic.”

Bill & Ted Are Doomed #1 (of 4) is currently slated to debut on Wednesday, Sep. 9, 2020, while Bill & Ted Face the Music hits theaters on Aug. 14.
