Fresh off the heels of the Doomsday Clock event, DC Comics, by way of its mature imprint, DC Black Label, is set to spotlight one of the most iconic Watchmen characters in Rorschach, via the creative team of Tom King, Jorge Fornés and Dave Stewart.

This series picks up 35 years after Dr. Manhattan disintegrated Rorschach into dust for trying to expose Ozymandias as the mastermind behind dropping a giant telepathic squid on New York. Now, he is being linked to two hitmen in an assassination attempt of a presidential candidate. It’s up to him to uncover the conspiracies (and a motive) to figure out the truth.

“It’s an angry work. We’re so angry all the time now. We have to do something with that anger,” said King. “It’s called Rorschach not because of the character Rorschach, but because what you see in these characters tells you more about yourself than about them.”

Each of the 12-issues in the forthcoming maxiseries will retail at $4.99, while the first issue is currently expected to launch on Oct, 13, 2020.
