October 23, 2019 Off By Michael Stagno

The EnergaCamerimage International Film Festival is set to honor actor Ed Norton with the Krzysztof Kieślowski Award in Poland.

The award is named after famed Polish director Kieślowski, who is ‘recognized internationally for his metaphysical and stunningly-cinematic poems about the fragility of individual experience, yet also a curious and inquisitive observer of the many faces of the human condition’. The award is given annually to a cinematographer that best embodies the director’s, ‘brilliant and nonconformism and passion for what is visible as well as hidden underneath our existence’.

Norton was uncredited for his appearance as Nova in Alita: Battle Angel this year, while his upcoming film, which he wrote, directed and produces, as well as starred in, Motherless Brooklyn, comes out on November 1.

The 27th EnergaCamerimage International Film Festival is currently scheduled to run November 9-16, 2019, in Torun, Poland.
