We typically associate Superman in conjunction with the slogan, ‘Truth, Justice and the American Way’, but in the upcoming DC Animation film, he will be bringing glory to the ‘Mother Land’!

Superman: Red Son by Mark Millar, printed under the Elseworlds imprint, explores what the DC Universe would be like if Superman landed in Soviet Russia, instead of Smallville, Kansas, USA.

Jason Isaacs, or as some of you may know him as Lucius Malfoy, will be voicing The Man of Steel. Starring beside him will be two longtime DC veterans, Diedrich Bader, from Batman: The Brave and the Bold, as Lex Luthor, and Phil LaMarr, as Jon Stewart, aka Green Lantern. Some other heavy hitters in the cast include, Amy Acker, Vanessa Marshall, Roger Craig Smith, Phil Morris and Sasha Roiz.

The film is being directed by Sam Liu, who’s been working with DC Animation since the beginning, having directed hits like, Batman: The Killing Joke, Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay, Justice League: Gods & Monsters, Justice League vs the Fatal Five, and most-recently, Wonder Woman: Bloodlines, which launches on October 5th, 2019.

Superman: Red Son is set to be released on Digital and Blu-Ray in early 2020.
