The holiday season just got a little more intense as Blumhouse has dropped the first trailer for the upcoming remake of the cult horror classic, Black Christmas.

The film will tell the story of the Mu Kappa Epsilon (MKE) sorority, specifically, Riley (Imogen Poots), Marty (Lily Donoghue), Kris (Aleyse Shannon) and Jesse (Brittany O’Grady), as they all prepare to exit Hawthorne College for the holiday season and for graduation. They throw a party to celebrate, but a masked killer begins to pick off the women one-by-one. As the body count rises, Riley and her sorority sisters will have to fight to survive.

The film, which was directed by Sophia Takal, also stars Simon Mead, Caleb Eberhardt and Cary Elwes, as Professor Gelson.

This will mark the second reboot of the original, which debuted in 1974 and starred Margot Kidder, with the first attempt dropping in 2006, which starred Michelle Trachtenberg.

Black Christmas is set to come out in theaters, nationwide, on Friday, December 13, 2019.
