Final Trailer for STAR WARS: THE RISE OF SKYWALKER Released

October 21, 2019 Off By Michael Stagno

The last trailer for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker has dropped, ahead of its release and, after wiping away a few tears and seeing the goosebumps recede, we are in a collective awe and even more excited for the upcoming film!

This ninth offering in the Star Wars franchise will close the Skywalker Saga and, while that may leave traditional fans sad, it is exciting to see where the franchise is heading in the future. The SW Universe is rich and full of content, surely with the capability of telling a story, each-and-every year.

In this chapter, the surviving Resistance will jump at Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) and the First Order head-on, in a plan devised by Rey (Daisy Ridley), Poe (Oscar Isaac), Finn (John Boyega), alongside Chewie, C-3PO and R2-D2, with a few other friends in tow as well.

Plenty to unpack here, but could the last scene in the trailer be a bit of foreshadowing as to who Rey’s parents really are? As she looks on, Luke says, “The Force will be with you …”, while Leia chimes in with, “Always.” Is she the rising Skywalker!? Is there anything to the Rey/Ren dynamic? Are they indeed related? December, hurry up! We’ll try to wait patiently.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker releases in theaters on December 20, 2019.
