The Cast is Set and Filming is Underway for WRONG TURN Reboot

The full cast has been set for the Wrong Turn reboot as filming has begun, with eyes set for a (presumed) 2020 release in theaters.

The upcoming reboot, from director Mike P. Nelson and original franchise writer, Alan B. McElroy, will center on a group of friends, while hiking the Appalachian Trail, who are confronted by ‘The Foundation’, a community of people who have lived in the mountains for hundreds of years.

The announced cast will be headlined by Charlotte Vega, Matthew Modine and Emma Dumont, but also includes, but not limited to: Valerie Jane Parker, Chaney Morrow, Dylan McTee, Adrian Favela , Adain Bradley and, as the Skull Brothers, Damian Maffei (Deer) Bill Sage (Ram) and David Hutchison (Wild Boar).

The cult-favorite franchise has churned out numerous sequels, but they all pretty much remained the same, with college students playing outside, having sex and getting drunk and then getting picked off by mutant hillbillies. The series started with Wrong Turn, in 2003, and spawned into six different films: Wrong Turn 2: Dead End (2007), Wrong Turn 3: Left for Dead (2009), Wrong Turn 4: Bloody Beginnings (2011), which actually took place in a winter wonderland, Wrong Turn 5: Bloodlines (2012) and Wrong Turn 6: Last Resort (2014).

No news yet on an exact release date, but stay tuned for updates!
