Florence Pugh Cast as lead in Olivia Wilde’s DON’T WORRY DARLING

Filmmaker Olivia Wilde has enlisted Florence Pugh to star in her upcoming thriller, Don’t Worry Darling.

Joining Pugh in the all-star ensemble cast will be co-star Chris Pine, along with Shia LaBeouf and Wilde. Pugh will helm the lead as a housewife who uncovers a disturbing and terrifying truth about her family life. The setting for the picture is in a utopian desert community in 1950s California.

Pugh will next appear on screen as Yelena Belova in the ready-to-go standalone Black Widow film, which drops in theaters on Nov. 6, 2020. It’s also worth noting she turned in a great 2019 with stellar performances in films like, Midsommar and Little Women.

For Wilde, the film will mark her second directing gig, having made her debut with the 2019 breakout, Booksmart. She also held a starring role as Kathy Scruggs in the Richard Jewell biopic last year as well.
