Live-Action ONE PUNCH MAN Film in Development at Sony Pictures
April 22, 2020A live-action adaptation of the popular manga series, One Punch Man, is currently in active development at Sony Pictures.
The series will be based on the 2009 web comic of the same name, which was published in physical form in 2012 and has since landed numerous animated films and shows. It ultimately centers on Saitama, a superhero capable of downing foes with a single brutal punch, but one who has grown weary of the lack of challenging or worthy evil opponents.
Both Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner, who also wrote the breakout film, Venom (2019), are slated to pen the script, while Arad Productions will be handling producing the film. The creative duo are also working on a live-action adaptation of Cowboy Bebop as well, of which, they will be serving as executive producers.
