Earth Faces an Extinction-Level Event in First Trailer for GREENLAND
June 25, 2020The first official trailer has dropped, courtesy of STX Entertainment, for the upcoming disaster film, Greenland, starring Gerard Butler, Morena Baccarin and Roger Dale Floyd.
The film follows the Garrity family, John (Butler), his wife, Allison (Baccarin) and their son, Nathan (Floyd), all vying for a sanctuary as Earth faces an impending planet-killing comet. News of cities being ripped apart by fragments of the comet, the family makes a perilous journey for a hopeful safe haven. Along the way, the family encounters some of the best and worst that humanity has to offer, including sheer panic and lawlessness as the world seemingly crumbles. As the planet makes its way to a global apocalypse, the countdown has begun, and time is not on the side of those that don’t reach the finish line when the clock strikes zero.
Scott Glenn, David Denman, Andrew Bachelor, Gary Weeks, Cate Jones, Rick Pasqualone, Claire Bronson, Hayes Mercure and Brandon Quinn round out the rest of the ensemble cast.
Greenland was initially scheduled to release in theaters on Aug. 14, 2020, but is now being listed as ‘coming soon’, so stay tuned for an exact date.
