Funnyman Seth MacFarlane, the mastermind behind projects like, Family Guy, American Dad and Ted, alongside Brannon Braga, executive producer on Star Trek: Enterprise, Star Trek: Voyager and The Orville, are currently finalizing a dealwith Hulu to develop Clive Barker‘s horror anthology, Books of Blood.

Barker, the famed horror writer and filmmaker, with such cult favorites on his resume like, Hellraiser, Candyman and Nightbreed, first wrote Books of Blood as a six-volume collection. It pins regular, everyday people in horrible, nightmarish scenarios, similar to those captured in The Twilight Zone and Tales from the Crypt.

The film (or miniseries), which stars Anna Friel, Britt Robertson, Rafi Gavron, and Yul Vazquez, among others, will take after the novels in following seemingly-different people on unsettling journeys, but all are connected through time and space.

The project will mark Braga’s directorial debut and is set to premiere in the fall of 2020.
