The film streaming service, ThrillFlix, has enlisted two former ‘scream queens’ in Sadie Katz and Felissa Rose, to host a new film watch-along show, Room 236.

The duo have acquired rights to various films distributed on the streaming platform, via the new subchannel, Room 236. The list of indie films included on the show are cult indie favorites that may otherwise not garner your attention, while being curated by the two horror goddesses. The show established its name as a nod to the film, The Shining. The show will metaphorically take place next door to the film’s haunted Room 237.

Room 236 will also serve as an on-site podcast at conventions, festivals throughout the year as well, featuring live reviews and Q&A sessions.

Katz, known for her starring roles in films like, Wrong Turn 6: Last Resort and Blood Feast, just wrapped on a laundry list of indie horror films, Hanukkah, Clown Fear, 13 Girls, Undesired Encounters and Megan. Her film, State of Desolation, comes out on New Year’s Day, 2020.

Rose, a fan-favorite among conventions for her portrayal as Angela in 1983’s Sleepaway Camp, also has a plethora of upcoming films on her slate. She has since appeared in films like, It Wants Blood!, Ugly Sweater Party, Death House and the fourth Hatchet sequel, Victor Crowley. Some of her 2020 films include: Bloody Summer Camp, Mike & Fred vs. The Dead, The Sunday Night Slaughter and Terrifier 2.

ThrillFlix, which allows you to watch as many movies as you want, including horror, comedies, thrillers, mysteries and more classics, costs just $3.99 each month. You can cancel anytime.
