Amazon Releases Trailer and Sets Debut Date for Sci-Fi Comedy Series, UPLOAD

The future is here and those staring down death will be able to enter a virtual world to seemingly continue to live in the upcoming Amazon Prime Original Series, Upload.

The series, from Greg Daniels, takes place in the near future. People who are near death can be ‘uploaded’ into virtual reality environments. Cash-strapped Nora (Andy Allo) works customer service for the luxurious ‘Lakeview’ digital afterlife. When party-boy/coder Nathan (Robbie Amell) is involved in a car crash, his girlfriend, Ingrid (Allegra Edwards), uploads him into Nora’s VR world.

The rest of the core cast includes: Kevin Bigley, Zainab Johnson and Owen Daniels.

The 10-episode pilot season of Upload debuts at Prime Video on May 1, 2020.
