Disney+ to Enlist Shiri Appleby to Direct WOULDN’T IT BE NICE

Having taken to Zoom to make a pitch to executives, Shiri Appleby, will now direct the upcoming feature, Wouldn’t It Be Nice, for Disney+.

The project, which has been in development since 2009, would mark the feature debut for Appleby. The premise tells of teenage friends. One, a star football player and, the other, a brainy girl. When both wake up 20 years later, they find themselves married and living a life neither expected.

Appleby is best-known for her tenured work as an actor on shows like UnREAL (38 episodes) and Roswell (61). She also most-recently directed two episodes of Roswell, New Mexico and is currently filming on a television series called, Big Shot.
