Will Ferrell and Paul Rudd to Star in THE SHRINK NEXT DOOR at Apple TV+

The pilot season of The Shrink Next Door, starring both Paul Rudd and Will Ferrell, has earned a straight-to-series order at Apple TV+.

The series is inspired by true events, based on the Wondery Podcast of the same name. It centers on a celebrity psychiatrist, Dr. Isaac ‘Ike’ Herschkopf (Rudd) and his patient, Martin ‘Marty’ Markowitz (Ferrell). Over the course of their sessions together, Ike begins to exploit and manipulate Marty’s life, even moves into his home and takes over his family business as well.

Rudd will next star in Ghostbusters: Afterlife, in 2021, and is also gearing up for a third Ant-Man sequel in the near future as well.

Ferrell has a laundry list of projects he will be acting in, as well as some he will be producing. Among those many projects, he’s set to star in Eurovision, which is due in 2020, and in A Christmas Carol. He’s also lined up to produce numerous other projects like, Bad Blood and Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters 2.

The Shrink Next Door is expected to launch via Apple‘s streaming service in mid-2021.
