DC Comics and Audible Announce All-Star Cast for THE SANDMAN Audio Book

An upcoming audio version of Neil Gaiman‘s The Sandman is en route as an Audible original series and, in conjunction with DC Comics, the impressive cast has finally been revealed.

The cast is led by James McAvoy, who will voice the titular character of Dream. He is joined by Kat Dennings, as Death, Michael Sheen, as Lucifer, along with the ensemble cast of: Andy Serkis, Riz Ahmed, Justin Vivian Bond, Arthur Darvill, Taron Egerton, William Hope, Josie Lawrence, Miriam Margolyes, Samantha Morton, and Bebe Neuwirth.

The story will serve as a multi-part audio drama, consisting of the first three volumes in the graphic novel franchise, Preludes & Nocturnes, The Doll’s House and Dream County.

The story focuses on seven siblings with powers comparable to gods in Dream, Death, Desire, Despair, Destiny, Destruction and Delirium, as a whole, the family is known as The Endless, which oversees all aspects of human existence.

The audio book will find an occultist, who has aspirations of eternal life, having attempted to capture the physical embodiment of Death, but accidentally apprehends her brother, Dream. After being trapped for 70 years, he finally escapes and sets out on a quest to reclaim his power and rebuild his portion of his kingdom, The Dreaming.

The first installment of The Sandman is set to launch on July 15, 2020.
