Publisher Boom! Studios has locked in two superstar artists for its covers in Jenny Frison and Mirka Andolfo, which will both run through 2021.

The two artists will combine for over 30 variant covers over the next year on some of the publisher’s most-popular series.

Frison will contribute to 20 covers through 2021. Her first two covers are coming in September, 2020, with variants in debuting both We Only Find Them When They’re Dead #1 and An Unkindness of Ravens #1. In October, her art will be featured on variants for Something is Killing the Children #11 and Seven Secrets #4. She also has a still unannounced project with the publisher in December as well.

“For me, cover art is all about mood and emotion. Expressing a feeling. I want people to pick up a comic because they are drawn to the cover and how it makes them feel,” said Frison. “With Boom!, I feel so lucky to be able to work on so many titles from multiple genres, from spies and secret societies in Seven Secrets, and horror like Something is Killing the Children, to the magic and mystery of Faithless or An Unkindness of Ravens, while still focusing on the emotionally-motivated and character-driven covers I love.”

For Andolfo, who will dish out 12 variants over the course of a year-and-a-half, including Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Willow #1, which is available now, as well as subsequent issues in the series, all the way up to issue No. 5. She will also have variants for Power Rangers: Drakkon New Dawn #2, due out in September, and Something is Killing the Children #15, among others.

“It’s cool that the first American publishing house which asked me to do a cover was Boom! Studios, when I was working as a colorist, ages ago, and after years, I’m happy and proud to be back on covers for the same publisher,” Andolfo said. “I find the same enthusiasm and quality there was at that time, and books which are even better! I’m thrilled to work on covers for all these amazing series, especially the ones in the Buffyverse!”

Keep an eye out for exclusive variant covers from both Frison and Andolfo as the year goes on and heading into 2021. Both have forthcoming works at the publisher coming in September as well.
