Tony Hawk Video Game Doc Coming to Multiple Digital Platforms in August

The most-recognizable name in extreme sports, Tony Hawk, will get the documentary treatment, courtesy of director Ludvig Gür, in telling the story of his video game franchise, one which shaped a generation.

The documentary will tell the tale, which launched in 1999 with Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater and quickly went on to sell over 9 million copies, forever changing the skateboarding scene. The film will delve into the story behind the game, including never-before-seen footage and interviews with Hawk, as well as fellow skaters like, Steve Caballero, Rodney Mullen, Chad Muska and Eric Koston.

Pretending I’m a Superman: The Tony Hawk Video Game Story is set to launch digitally on August 18, 2020, across multiple platforms, including YouTube and Prime Video.

Preorders are also now open for the reboot of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2, which goes on sale on September 4.
