Keanu Reeves and Matt Kindt Partner on Boom! Studios Series, BRZRKR

The creative force that is Keanu Reeves is taking his talents to the comic book pages, in conjunction with co-writer Matt Kindt and superstar artist, Alessandro Vitti, in telling the story of an immortal warrior in, BRZRKR.

The Boom! Studios offering will center on Berzerker, an immortal warrior, who also bears the Reeves’ resemblance, as he treks through the ages of time. He is half-human, half-God and cursed to endure multiple lifetimes of violence. After touring the world for centuries, he may have no found a purpose, working for the U.S. government, in fighting battles that are too dangerous for mere mortal men. In exchange, he will receive information pertaining to why he has been thrown into a life of endless violence and how to ultimately end it.

“I have loved comics since I was a young kid and they have been a significant influence on me artistically,” said Reeves. “To have the chance to create BRZRKR and collaborate with legends in the industry like writer Matt Kindt, artist Alessandro Vitti, colorist Bill Crabtree, letterer Clem Robins and conceptual/cover artist Rafael Grampá – along with the great folks at BOOM! Studios – is a dream come true.”

Reeves will next appear on the big screen for Bill & Ted Face the Music and has been dubbed the face of the upcoming video game, Cyberpunk 2077, which is due in November of 2020. He is also gearing up for a big 2021-22 with projects like, The Matrix 4, John Wick: Chapter 4 and Rally Car.

BRZRKR #1 is currently slated to debut on bookshelves in October of 2020.
