New CHUCKY Series Teaser Debuts, to Air on Both SyFy and USA Networks
July 18, 2020Everyone’s favorite possessed and murderous doll is back! The show, which will air on both SyFy and USA just dropped the first teaser trailer for the upcoming Child’s Play adaptation series, Chucky.
The series will pickup after a mysterious Child’s Play doll turns up at a suburban yard sale. What follows after, for a seemingly-idyllic American town is pure chaos by way of a series of horrifying murders, which ultimately begin to expose town secrets as well.
Don Mancini is set to serve as showrunner and executive producer, but will also direct the pilot episode as well. Also returning are two franchise staples. Reprising his role in voicing Chucky is none other than Brad Dourif and, as his main-squeeze, Tiffany, played by Jennifer Tilly.
It starts where it always does … in a toy store. As the view pans across the shelves, filled with teddy bears and vintage robots, the camera eventually sets on the titular doll at the end of the isle as he raises his knife to the consumers passing by outside.
The Chucky series is currently expected to air in mid- to late-2021.
