The next title landing at Scout Comics is from creators Jenna Lyn Wright and Karl Slominski, in which a rebellious teenager makes a shocking discovery about her family roots in, Cult of Ikarus.

The story centers on Hunter, a teenager who consistently ends up in the backseat of a police cruiser. After being ousted by her foster family, she decides to embark on a mission to find out who she is. The journey, however, takes her down a rabbit hole, one consisting of magic, zombified rockstars and two sorcerer brothers. Ultimately, she will come to find shes on the hit list of an ancient vampire coven.

Cult of Ikarus is my love letter to spooky kids who wish the monsters they read about were real,” said Wright. “Scout is the perfect place to tell a badass genre story with some teeth and I couldn’t be more excited to be partnering with them on this!”

Cult of Ikarus #1 is tentatively scheduled to release in the fall of 2020.
