Creators Sheldon Allen and Karl Mostert are teaming on a new series about a futuristic 1986 and two detectives trying to survive in, Concrete Jungle, at Scout Comics.

The limited series’ story centers on Annie Brunson, a detective, and her telepathic partner, Faith Jones. The two pick up the case of a rogue telepath who is hijacking minds and bodies of unsuspecting victims and using them to commit crimes, in Atom City, which features a backdrop of aliens, robots and genetic mutations.

Concrete Jungle is a love letter to my hometown of Miami and the city’s unique 1980’s setting. Given that special meaning, it was a no brainer to once again partner with Scout Comics in delivering my baby to the masses,” said Allen. “As proud as I am of the story, my greatest joy comes from highlighting the art team who helped create this crazy world you’ll be experiencing over an initial course of four issues. I simply cannot wait for audiences to delve into the madness we’ve cooked up and get to know Annie. Trust me when I tell you: you’ve never met anyone like her.”

Concrete Jungle #1 (of 4) is currently slated for an October, 2020, release in shops.
